Welcome to The Regal Cinema, a beloved cultural cornerstone in the heart of Melton Mowbray. As a cherished icon in our community, The Regal Cinema has a rich history and a bright future, offering a unique cinematic experience that combines tradition with modern entertainment.

 

Nestled in the heart of Melton Mowbray, The Regal Cinema is more than just a place to watch movies – it's an experience in itself. Our cinema is designed to transport you to a world of cinematic wonder. With its elegant and classic decor, comfortable seating, and state-of-the-art technology, The Regal Cinema creates a unique atmosphere that enhances your movie-going experience.

 

Seating

We offer three categories of seating:

• Luxury Seats, these are like armchairs and are positioned on the back row of the auditorium.

• Sofas-for-two, lovely comfy sofas designed for two people. Second row from the back.

• Standard Seats, generously sized fixed seating all with a great view of the screen. These make up our front four rows.

Seats are allocated by the earlier you book the further back you will be. If you have any preference on where you would like to sit in the auditorium – aisle, middle or side – please give us a call on 01664 500642.

Our Prices

Luxury Seats: £13.00 • Sofas-for-two £26.00 • Standard Seats £10.00 • Concessions Tickets £8.50* • Under 5’s £5.00*

Members receive a £1.50 discount on all ticket prices.

* Concessions and Under 5 prices can only be applied on standard seats. Concessions apply to anyone over 60 or anyone still in full time education.

Event Prices

Luxury Seats: £26.00 • Sofas-for-two £52.00 • Standard Seats £20.00 • Concessions Tickets £17.00

Members receive a £3.00 discount on all ticket prices.

On occasion we do have screenings at different prices, please check the price in the programme or on the film’s webpage before purchasing tickets.

We are a family of film enthusiasts who have rejuvenated five cinemas in small towns with the hope of restoring them to the heart of the community.

The Ritz, Belper

The Ritz is run by Amanda and opened in 2006 in a small town in Derbyshire that was recently named high street of the year. It is our second smallest cinema, with just 99 seats. The Ritz shows a mix of cultural, commercial and classic films.

The Northern Light, Wirksworth

The Northern Light, run by Amanda and Tony, stands as an unassuming gem, and with 36 seats one of the smallest operational cinemas in Europe. Tucked away in the quirky market town of Wirksworth, its intimate setting hosts a one-of-a-kind lineup that mirrors the heritage and creativity of its surroundings.

The Savoy, Heaton Moor

The Savoy cinema is run by Louis & Sophie and is located in Heaton Moor (just 9 miles away from the Rex!) and was renovated in 2015. It has 175 seats, including 7 sofas and 27 luxury seats. Many bars and eateries have opened since the Savoy reopened and it is now a brilliant location for a night out.

The Rex, Wilmslow

The Rex Cinema is run by Louis and Sophie Mundin and has two screens, with over 170 seats including 27 luxury seats, 18 sofa’s for two and a 4 person VIP Box in the Balcony hall. The cinema is located in Wilmslow, known for its boutique shops and its affluent Cheshire setting.
